This Workshop Manual has been prepared to provide servicing personnel with information on the mechanism, service and maintenance of MX4700 and MX5100. It is divided into three parts, “General”, “Mechanism” and “Servicing”.
Information on the tractor identification, the general precautions, maintenance check list, check and maintenance and special tools are described.
Information on the construction and function are included. This part should be understood before proceeding with troubleshooting, disassembling and servicing.
Refer to Diesel Engine / Tractor Mechanism Workshop Manual (Code No. 9Y02101874 / 9Y021-18201) for the one which has not been described to this workshop manual.
Information on the troubleshooting, servicing specification lists, tightening torque, checking and adjusting, disassembling and assembling, and servicing which cover procedures, precautions, factory specifications and allowable limits.
All information illustrations and specifications contained in this manual are based on the latest product information available at the time of publication.

After having carefully read this manual, you will realize that much of the routine maintenance can be done by yourself. Machines must be disassembled and assembled efficiently and safely. It is very important to thoroughly understand the construction and function of the machine, to make all appropriate preparations, and start operations according to the specified working procedures in this workshop service manual.

Kubota MX4700, MX5100 TractorRemoving Steering Support Plates, Accelerating Wire and
Clutch Rod
1. Removing the steering support plates (1), (4).
2. Remove the snap pin (2) and disconnect the accelerating wire
3. Remove the split pin (6) from the clutch rod (5). Disconnect the
clutch rod (5) from the clutch lever.
4. Remove the ground lead mounting bolt (8) from the steering post.
5. Remove the fuel tank stay mounting bolts (7) from the clutch
housing case.
6. Set the front axle rocking restrictor (10) to the front axle.
(When reassembling)
• Reinstall the wiring harness to the original position referring to the
(1) Steering Support Plate (RH)
(2) Snap Pin
(3) Accelerating Wire
(4) Steering Support Plate (LH)
(5) Clutch Rod
(6) Split Pin
(7) Fuel Tank Stay Mounting Bolt (M8)
(8) Ground Lead Mounting Bolt (M8)
(9) Wiring Harness
(10) Front Axle Rocking Restrict
