Manual Extract: Hydraulic systems – Dynamic description

The hydraulic system on this tractor is an open center type with an engine mounted gear hydraulic pump. The hydraulic system and steering pumps share a common transmission case reservoir and suction filter. Hydraulic flow from the hydraulic system pump is routed to the Power Take-Off (PTO) solenoid valve block, the PTO valve block contains the PTO electric solenoid valve, PTO reduction pressure valve, PTO engagement delay valve and the sequence valve. From the PTO solenoid block flow continues to the mid mount two spool hydraulic control valve.

The two spool valve contains the hydraulic system relief valve. After the two spool valve flow continues to the optional rear remote valve, either single or double spool valve. Flow continues from the rear remote valve to the Hydraulic Power Lift (HPL) system, the HPL system consists of the control valve a lift cylinder an adjustable drop rate valve and a safety relief valve. On hydrostatic tractors, hydraulic flow is provided to the Hydrostatic (HST) transmission by the steering pump. Oil flow from the steering pump is sent to an additional HST filter, from the filter, oil flows through the oil cooler and then to the hydrostatic variable pump.”
