Manual Extract: Pump – Adjust vibration frequency

To adjust vibration, first check and, if necessary, adjust the engine’s max RPM.
1. Check frequency values with the roller at standstill, and placed on an engine bench, or on tires laid down or on soft ground at max engine speed (adjusted to 2290 RPM).
2. Position the measuring instrument probe onto the drum jacket.
3. Switch ON vibration only on the drum being measured.

NOTICE: The max. total time of vibrator run with no drum turning over (bearing lubrication) is two minutes!

NOTE: Alternatively, you can position the measuring instrument probe on the damper plate. When measuring this way, you may read (pick up) vibrator frequency during machine drive.

4. Use Allen screws ( (1), low amplitude) and ( (2), high amplitude) to adjust the frequency after having slackened the lock nut (counter-nut) of the vibration pump ( (6), for front drum), ( (7), for rear drum) with the engine turned off.
5. Slacken (counter-clockwise turning) to increase the frequency and tighten (clockwise turning) to decrease the frequency.
6. Start the engine.
7. Check the set value again with the engine running
