Manual Extract: Drain Pressure

1 . Operate the machine to heat the oil to operating temperature.
Run the engine at low idle. Raise the parking latch levers and slowly move the direction control levers into FORWARD until the pins for the parking latch engage each drive sprocket. With the pins engaged, the machine will not move.
2. Stop the engine and remove the seat.
3. Install a tee between the hose and elbow. The threads on the hose and elbow are 1-1 /16 – 12 flare.
Connect a 100 psi (689 kPa, 6.8 bar) pressure gauge to the tee.

4. Start and run the engine at full throttle. Move the direction control lever to 1 /2 stroke FORWARD and hold in position. The pressure must be less than 25 psi (172 kPa, 2 bar).
5. Release the direction control lever, decrease the engine speed to idle, and stop the engine.
6. If the pressure is more than specified, check for a bent hose that can cause a restriction between the piston pump and the reservoir.
