Before operating, perform the prescribe inspections and make repairs immediately should any irregularities be found. If a failure that causes loss of control such as steering, service brakes or engine occurs, stop the machine motion as quickly as possible, follow the shutdown procedure, and keep machine securely park until the problem is fixed.

Extract from the Service Manual:

After completing repairs to the hydraulic components
• Top up hydraulic oil, if necessary, and check the fill level in the hydraulic oil tank, refer to Chapter “Venting the hydraulic circuit”.
• Start the diesel engine and complete short loading movements slowly.
• The hydraulic oil then flows in the QDC and the hydraulic cylinders of the loading circuit, which are vented as a result.
• This venting process must be repeated until there is no longer any air in the hydraulic circuit. Drain the hoisting gear.
• Actuate the QDC several times to extend and retract the QDC bolts.
• Stop the diesel engine and prevent it from being switched on again by removing the ignition key.
• Fill sufficient hydraulic oil in the hydraulic oil tank.
• This venting process must be repeated until there is no longer any air in the loading hydraulic circuit.
• After replacing or repairing hydraulic components in the loading circuit, check the loading circuit pressure.
