The Kobelco K907C and K907C-LC Preface Instructions

Read and understand all Warning plates and decal on the machine before Operating, Maintaining or Repairing this machine. The Kobelco K907C and K907C-LC Excavator Manual has been written for the repair specialist. The serviceman or mechanic may be unfamiliar with many of the systems on this machine. This makes it important to use this manual and be caution when performing service work.

Please go carefully through the Shop Manual of the Excavator before starting any repair work. Use proper lifting procedures when removing any components. Be careful when removing filler caps, breathers and plugs on the machine. Hold a rag over the cap or plug to prevent being sprayed or splashed by liquids under pressure. The danger is even greater if the machine has just been stopped because fluids can be hot.

Use the Shop/Service Manual of the K907C and K907C-LC Excavator as a reference book and source of information even if you are familiar with Excavator technology. Using the Workshop Manual, the experience construction machine mechanic can carry out any necessary repairs expertly.

REMOVING LOWER ROLLER

  1. Loosen the Excavator and raise the machine about 30 cm
  2. Place a wooden block under the lower roller and loosen four roller mounting bolts.
  3. Remove bolts and draw out the lower roller.

INSTALLING LOWER ROLLER

1) Coat Loctite #242 (locking compound) evenly over the lower roller mounting bolts.
2) Match the bolt holes of the lower frame and the lower roller, and temporarily tighten them with a small ratchet wrench.
NOTE
1 . If the bolts are hard to turn or anything unusual is found, remove them and inspect the threaded part.
2. Do not use an impact wrench for temporary tightening.
3) For regular tightening, use a torque wrench and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
